It seems like magic doesn't it?! You pop your dirty clothes into the washing machine, press a few button and all your clothes come out clean and new. Do you ever think about what actually goes down the drain and where it ends up?

Most laundry detergent, bleach, fabric softeners and stain removers (etc) from the supermarket will have a list of toxic chemicals on that back that help clean your clothes, but aren't good for the environment. They contain unnatural ingredients that can cause rashes, skin irritations and allergies. Once they go down the drain, those nasty chemicals often end up in our oceans where the sea life is left to fend for itself. Not to mention the plastic bottles that they come packaged in.

Instead we've put together some eco-friendly laundry suggestions. Products that aren't harmful to us, our pets or any sea life that they might some across. They are packed full of natural and eco-friendly ingredients that will leave you with clean and nice smelling laundry and won't harm the water system.
