Nail polish or nail varnish was invented in China as early as 3000 BC, which is crazy! Back then key ingredients were beeswax, egg whites and vegetable dyes. The Egyptians went on the use nail polish as a symbol of wealth, the colour very much dictating which class you were part of.
Now, most people own a bottle of nail vanish. Be it from designer brands to cheaper supermarket brands. Most nail varnishes now have a list of ingredients as long as my arm. Things to look out for include Dibutylphthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Xylene, Colophony and Synthetic Camphor all of which can cause irritation and basically aren't particularly good for you.
Our eco friendly nail polish range by Zao Make Up is free from all those nasties. They have no toxic ingredients and are enriched in silica from bamboo oil. This means that can these eco friendly nail polishes can be used without limitation i.e. as often as you like without harming your nail.
