Collection: Toothbrush

The first swap I did when starting out on my plastic free journey was to switch to a bamboo toothbrush. It's a scary thought, thinking that every toothbrush I have ever used still exists on the planet somewhere. You often see the images of beach cleans and just how many plastic toothbrushes are found.

Personally, I didn't notice a difference when changing to a bamboo toothbrush. It works really well. All the people in my household have a different colour so we know which one belongs to who. I have the storm grey!

And it's not just for adults. We also have two different coloured bamboo toothbrushes for kids too. My nieces have drawn on theirs too just to be absolutely sure there will be no confusion to which is theirs!

Once done, you can extend the life of your bamboo toothbrush by using it as a cleaning tool to get to those really tricky spots. Once even that isn't possible anymore, just snap the head off your bamboo toothbrush. The handle can go straight into your compost bin and the head into your ecobrick as we haven't quite gotten to 100% plant based bristles yet.
