Collection: Lunch Boxes
I remember being at school and having various plastic lunch boxes printed with Disney characters or whatever the latest trend was. I wonder where all those are as I don't have them anymore. I'm sure they would've been donated to a charity shop, but what happens when the print fades or if it breaks? Sadly, it's quite likely that they ended up in landfill.
This is where plastic free lunch boxes come in. So, yes there is a big difference between singe-use plastic and just plastic. Sometimes plastic as a material can be amazing, especially if designed to last for forever. But some products aren't single-use but aren't built for long-term either. Tupperware is a really good example. It breaks, it gets lost. I look in my mums cupboard and she has a few bits that she's had for since I can remember, but also a lot that's new(ish).
By investing in a stainless steel lunch box or a bento bag, you're eliminating the risk. Stainless steel is a great material that can easily be melted down and reformed if required. Our bento bags are made from organic cotton and are therefore completely natural. They are two great plastic free lunch box alternatives, perfect for children and adults.
