Collection: Water Bottles

I read a statistic that 1 million plastic water bottles are purchased a minute. In the UK alone 7.7 billion plastic bottles are used a year. I can't even imagine that number of bottles. The images that I do have very clearly in my mind are the videos of those bottles floating in the ocean, or blocking rivers and getting animals stuck inside them or inside the stomachs of sea life. It's a really scary thought especially as there doesn't really seem to be much technology available yet to make these bottles biodegradable.

This is why everyone needs to have a reusable water bottle. It should be something that just lives in your bag, that you don't leave your house without. Reusing a plastic bottle over and over again actually isn't good for you, as they easily collect germs and grow bacteria. Leaving them in sunlight also isn't ideal as it can cause a reaction between the plastic and the liquid. What you need is a reusable water bottle made from stainless steel. Something that could last you your entire lifetime if looked after properly. The way the bottles are insulated also means they keep your drink warm or cold.

Most restaurants, cafes and even shops will fill your water bottle for free. There are also a number of refill stations dotted around most towns and cities now. It isn't hard to get more water.
